A crawl space dehumidifier is a device that removes excess moisture from the air in a crawl space, preventing issues like mold growth, wood rot, and pest infestation. Relatively low-maintenance crawl space dehumidifiers are an effective way of improving the air quality of your home. When Should You Install A Dehumidifier In Your Crawl Space Not all crawl spaces require a dehumidifier, but it's essential to be aware of the warning signs of a humid crawl space. To prevent potential problems in your home, look out for the following indicators: Musty Odors One of the first signs of a moisture problem is a persistent musty smell emanating from your crawl space. Warped or Damaged Wood Prolonged exposure to moisture in your crawl space can cause warping or damage to wooden beams, floor joists, and other materials. Unwanted Pests Excessive crawl space moisture attracts pests such as insects, rodents, and termites, making it essential to address the issue promptly. Mold or Mildew Growth Mold or mildew in your crawl space or other parts of your home clearly indicates high humidity levels and requires immediate attention. Lisa Gill 2024-09-21 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So two years later , I would like to edit this review. First of all, I have been a customer since 2010. I had a service call last week for a unit that was older, and of course was found not to be repairable and only replaceable by a big dollar exchange. I ask about discounts and payment plans, especially since I am a returning customer. nothing, I was told the manager doesn’t honor anything like this. So then, the worker quoted me the wrong price of course a cheaper unit and when I was going to pay, he showed me almost $400 mistake he made but with no break from the manager, just an “I’m sorry” and that’s it. When I worked retail if the wrong price was put on an item it was honored ! I ,was told the manager doesn’t honor anything at all and this is the manager kit the owner who much no longer be involved . I was also told at first they would waive the hundred dollar service call if I would do a good review on Google and then after the work he stated again that the manager, not the owner stated this is no longer a thing so I would still pay the service call even though I was having to purchase an entirely new unit, this quickly will mold within a day. I have also reached out to the owner about this and have heard absolutely nothing back. This will be the last time that I recommend this company to anyone. Return customers don’t matter at all so let’s just disregard that I gave below that they asked me to give two years ago. Greedy and donkit care about customers . Revised See above 👎. These people rock! From the office calls, to the home visits, and the quality of the work done, they are top-notch, friendly, and professional. And the thank you gift left on my porch was just another reminder there are still good businesses out there, that care! I feel that they would go the extra mile to make their customers happy, and I have always been pleased with their work! Check them out !
